With the ambition to prove that they can embody significantly more serious roles thant those in television series, the actors Theodora Duhovnikova and Kalin Vrachanski take over the stage at Theatre 199 ” Valentine Stoytchev ” in Sofia, as a brother and sister in the show “The Raven”.

This is the writing debut of the young Kalina Popyaneva, who with this play, in in 2010, won the award for contemporary Bulgarian drama.

Even before its premiere ,”The Raven ” was named ” psycho-thriller, in which the brother is like a demon for his sister.”

Theodora Duhovnikova graduated from The National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in 2000, in the class of Professor Snejina Tankovska . She performs roles in “The Libertine”, “Love Boulevard” , ” The Colonel and the birds”, in “Sofia” theatre. She Debuted at the National Theatre “Ivan Vazov” the role of Salome in the play by Oscar Wilde. Her other roles include – in “To take a wife from the village ,” “Monogamy” “The House of Bernarda Alba”, “Don Juan” by Moliere, “An Ideal Husband” and others. She has participated in the Bulgarian film “Forecast” and now – in the series “Undercover”. She has worked on foreign films made in the country and has played against with Jean Claude Van Damme and Vinnie Jones.

Kalin Vrachanski , who became a star in the series “Glass House”, has a rich theatrical biography. He graduated from the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in the class of Prof. Zdravko Mitkov, in 2002. He has been working in “Sofia” theatre since 2008 and took part in performances such as ” Tired horses are killed, right? ” “Princess Turandot “, “Inspector”, “Four Rooms”,”Ugly” , “Electra, or Removing the mask”,”The Three Musketeers”,”Treachery and Love”.
