Silvia Mihaylova is a writer of poetry whose poetic achievements are remarkable. She has received awards from poetry competitions and international music festivals in Bulgaria, Egypt, North Korea and Kazakhstan.
Two of the pillars of contemporary Bulgarian poetry, Eftim Eftimov and Georgi Konstantinov, say the following concerning her oeuvre: …with her, the poetic word does not flow, it turns into art set in stone. One of the finest and best authors….
Silvia Mihaylova has brought to life many hit songs including part of the repertoire of Ivailo Gurov, Margarita Hranova, duo Chic, Georgi Hristov and Ivelina Doncheva amongst many others. She is part of the team of the Association of Bulgarian authors “Musicautor”.
The book “All the words about love”, in which part of her most remarkable poems are collected, also published in a bilingual edition in Bulgarian and Italian entitled “Tutte le parole per l amore”, contains illustrations from Academic Svetlin Rusev. Both are published by the publishing house “Bulgarian Bestseller”.
This book was selected for “Book of Bulgaria” for May 2006 by the magasine “Highflights”. The lyrics in the two languages are included in the program of the Days of Bulgarian Culture in Rome.
Silvia Mihaylova received a scholarship from the Vatican under the program of the Committee for International Cultural Collaboration, Council for Christian Unification.
Her work in the sphere of dialogues between different cultures and religions in the East and the West is a result of a devotion which shines through, and it is expressed through constant and active collaboration with the representatives of faiths, structures and institutions with the Sancta Sedes. The same expresses the essence of the numerous joint initiatives performed by the Bulgarian section of Radio Vatican under the direction of Mr. Dimiter Ganchev.
The dialogue between the culture, religion and traditions of the East and West is given precedence, both in her work and as an Expert in the team of the Cultural Institute, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.
She has been a representative in official delegations attending celebrations of Bulgarian culture in countries such as Italy, Syria, Germany, Republic of Serbia, Greece and in international forums and as a special

guest in discussions with the Counsel for Youth and Sport with the Presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria.
She is a member of the Governing Council of the Bulgarian Committee for Delphi for an Olympic games of culture.

At present, she is the cultural attaché in the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Bulgaria.
