Close-up: Keva Apos­to­lo­va is a play­wright, poet and the­a­tre his­to­ri­an; edi­tor-in-chief of The­a­tre mag­a­zine. Her poems have been trans­lat­ed in Hun­ga­ry, Poland, Mac­e­do­nia and France and her plays have been staged in Tur­key, Ser­bia, the Czech Repub­lic and the US. Her late hus­band, actor Geor­gi Geor­gi­ev was direct­or of long stand­ing of Vaz­razhdane the­a­tre. They were an arrest­ing cou­ple of intel­lec­tu­als, host­ing the creme de la creme of Bul­gar­i­an art elites. Their son is an actor. Recent­ly pub­lished Poe­sie en Sor­bonne year­book con­tains trans­lat­ed poems by Keva Apos­to­lo­va in rec­og­ni­tion of her poet­ic gift.
