Biographies:

Ivo Stankov (violin)
Ivo Stankov has become one of Bulgaria’s leading and most versatile artists of his generation. Described as “a stunning virtuoso” he has captivated audiences in the UK and Europe with his “commanding” style and “spirited” performances.

He has collaborated with international artists such as Sir Cliff Richards, and Mark Knopfler, who states that“….Ivo’s playing was excellent and he was a pleasure to work with…” Today Ivo is equally at home as a soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and educator.

Ivan Donchev (piano)
Born in Bulgaria in 1981, Ivan Donchev began his musical studies at the age of five, giving his first public recital just one year later, and winning his first international competition at the age of nine. In 1993 he made his concerto debut with B?urgas Philharmonic Orchestra performing Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D. Ivan Donchev has performed as a soloist with Burgas Philharmonic, Kronstadt Philharmoniker, Oradea Symphony Orchestra, “Mozart Sinfonietta” Chamber Orchestra, Bari Symphony Orchestra and Razgrad Philharmonic the piano concertos by Haydn, Beethoven, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Grieg, Rachmaninov, Brahms, and the complete works for piano and orchestra by Tchaikovsky. His performances are broadcasted by Bulgarian National Television, Radio France, and Italian cable radio classical music channel.

Ivan Donchev’s repertoire covers the most relevant piano works ranging from Bach and Scarlatti to contemporary composers (several piano pieces have been dedicated to him). In 2006 he has recorded the world premiere of Vito Palumbo’s Quadro Sinfonico Concertante. Very active in chamber music, he obtained his master degree in this discipline at “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory of Music (Rome) with full honors.
