Christmas Puppet Show “Slow Story”

The Bulgarian Cultural Institute London is pleased to invite you to a Christmas performance of the puppet play for children “Slow Story”, performed by Nikoleta Stefanova, with author Magda Borisova and stage adaptation by Tanya Evtimova.

To support the magnificent artists, admission is requested for visitors to the event – suggested donation of £5.

In the Christmas spirit, there will be a guessing game after the performance, whoever wins will receive a knitted toy featuring a character from the show as a gift.

“Slow Story” follows the adventures of Moody the snail, who is the slowest snail in the whole forest. Despite the taunts of others, Moody outsmarts everyone by using his wits – helping animals in distress, saving them from danger, anticipating unexpected situations and cunningly extricating himself and others from unwanted situations.

In the end, everyone learns that the mind can be more than physical strength, and that Moody is a true, loyal friend.

The final words of the show sum it up, “Think, think, think man, for thought goes a long way!”

Nikoleta Stefanova is an actress and theatre artist living in London. Growing up in Haskovo, Bulgaria, her passion for the art of puppetry was ignited at the age of nine when she was introduced to the work of Danny & Desi Theatre. She participates in the puppet theatre studio at the Youth Home in Haskovo. After graduating from the “Asen Zlatarov” language school with intensified study of German and English, Nikoleta was accepted to the Theatre Academy and began her studies in Acting for Puppet Theatre at the National Theatre and Theatre Academy in Haskovo. She is studying at the National Theatre of the Russian Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria. She then moved to London, where she continued her theatre education with a BA Hons Drama at the University of Greenwich, as well as studying Acting at the Identity School of Acting.
