We are honoured to welcome the acclaimed Bulgarian writer Rene Karabash, who will discuss her debut novel She Who Remains, shortlisted for the 2026 International Booker Prize ![]()
Set high in the Accursed Mountains, the novel tells the powerful story of Bekija, who escapes an arranged marriage by becoming a sworn virgin and living as a man. Years later, as hidden truths resurface, the story unfolds with striking emotional depth and intensity.
