About the Artist:
Pianist Lily Petrova has appeared at leading venues including Cadogan Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, the Southbank Centre, Steinway Hall and Bulgaria Hall. A frequent performer at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute, her appearances have included events welcoming the Bulgarian Cultural Minister. As a concert pianist, chamber musician, curator and educator, Lily’s artistic voice is shaped by her interest in cross-cultural dialogue and interdisciplinary performance.
Programme Highlights:
The concert will feature Leonid Desyatnikov’s Songs of Bukovina: 24 Preludes for piano — a rich and expressive cycle that draws on Ukrainian folk song traditions, ranging from soulful lyrical pieces to sparkling, jazz-inflected miniatures.
