CHARITY CAMPAIGN FOR NORTHWESTERN BULGARIA

CHARITY EVENTS:
The Bulgarian Cultural Institute London is proud to present the results so far, of a charity campaign, in aid of children’s and old people’s homes in the town of Tran, Northwest Bulgaria.
This is one of the poorest regions in the country, with the harshest climate and we are proud to be organizing this initiative.
The events which were part of the campaign were:
28th of April , “Identity and Gender”
Photography exhibition by students from the University of West London
The following students took part in the exhibition:

The following companies are also contributing to the cause:
Transport2 Bulgaria with director Petko Petkov, which will transport the materials and goods to Bulgaria .
Dowealth with director Petar Grigorov, which will be providing furniture for the homes.
Todor Branchev, who will be supplying the homes with electrical appliances.

A total of 359.71 British Pounds were raised at these two events.
So far we have spent 95.00 British Pounds on buying bath towels, cleaning detergents, soups, sponges, and canned food for the homes.
We have also bought a washing machine, a microwave, two wheelchairs, a refridgerator and a dining table.
Everything will be transported to the homes in June 2015.
15.05.2015: With the remaining 250 pounds, today we bought 40 duvets and 80 pillows for the old people’s home in Tran!
18.05.2015: Today Ms Elka Angelova donated to sets of bedsheets and covers, two towels, two mugs and two dishes and one toaster for the old people’s home in Tran!
20.05.2015 The Bulgarian Cultural Institute London bought these additional items for the charity campaig:
1. 40 single bedding sets ( sheet, cover, pillowcase)
2. ?he following cleaning materials
2 x 5L washing up liquid
2 x 5L All purpose detergent
2 x 5L Bleach
1 x 5L Liquid Handsoap
1 x 5L Multipurpose solution
12 spray botles of glass and mirror cleaner
4 bottles of limescale removal
22.05.2015 We are happy to announce that the British Red Cross has donated a wheelchair and 12 mobility aids, which will be sent to the elderly people’s home in Northwestern Bulgaria, as part of our charity campaign.
